The ‘Go Extra’ campaign is a one-of-its-kind initiative by Bridgestone India, subsidiary of global leader in tyre technology and solutions Bridgestone, and MOTORINDIA, India’s No. 1 commercial vehicle magazine. The primary aim of the campaign was to introduce Bridgestone’s new M721 tyre to truck fleet operators and drivers and also demonstrate solutions to help fleets reduce their total cost of ownership (TCO).
The campaign also included 4 other partner brands – Ashok Leyland (Trucking Partner), Delux Bearings (Bearing Partner), Jamna Auto (Suspension Partner) and Excelite – DH Lighting India (Lighting Partner).
As part of the campaign, a 14-wheeler heavy-duty Ashok Leyland ‘AVTR’ truck fitted with Bridgestone’s new M721 tyres in the drive axle started its journey from Delhi’s Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar. The vehicle travelled across the length and breadth of the country, clocking a whopping 8,500+ km across 9 states over a time period of 60 days, making stops at nearly 35 locations where activation events were conducted. The MOTORINDIA team, along with representatives of the partner brands engaged with truck fleet operators, drivers and mechanics at each location, giving them a touch-and-feel experience of their latest products, sharing tips related to safety, improving efficiency and reducing costs, while also conducting some light games and activities to pep up their spirits and give them a breather from their mundane work routine.
